Week 1
Loved by his Father
Joseph is introduced as a key figure in the survival of his family and the future nation of Israel. We explore his position as the youngest son, the favoritism from his father, and his dreams that impact his relationship with his brothers.
Week 2
Hated by his Brothers
Joseph faces his first major adversity when his brothers sell him into slavery in Egypt. We examine the jealousy and animosity that led to this betrayal and witness how Joseph's unwavering faith helped him overcome this heart-wrenching ordeal.
Week 3
Sold as a Slave in Egypt
Joseph's journey from slavery to unlikely success in Potiphar's house reveals how his integrity and faith earn him favor. He faces a false accusation from Potiphar's wife, once again testing his devotion to God.
Week 4
Wrongfully Accused & Unjustly Imprisoned
Despite being unjustly accused, Joseph maintains a positive attitude and trust in God's plan in prison. He gains favor with the warden and interprets the dreams of the King's cupbearer and baker, though the cupbearer forgets him for two years.
Week 5
Second Only To Pharaoh
Pharaoh's dream sets the stage for Joseph's transformation as he interprets the dream and is recognized as the only one with skills to guide Egypt through coming years of plenty and famine. Joseph develops a strategic plan to save Egypt and surrounding nations from death.
Week 6
Reconciled to His Family
Famine forces Joseph's brothers to journey to Egypt for food, where Joseph thoughtfully evaluates their sincerity through a series of tests. Finally convinced of their change of heart, Joseph reveals his true identity to his astonished brothers.
Week 7
Savior of the World
We reflect on Jacob's last wishes and blessings upon his sons, and witness God's faithfulness ensuring the preservation of His people through impending enslavement. The series concludes with parallels between Joseph and Jesus, highlighting how Joseph's story foreshadows the promised Messiah.
